Hey, I’m Dr. Jami

I’m a queer-identified, sex-positive psychologist in Westlake Village. I specialize in supporting diverse sexual orientations, identities, and relationships. My expertise includes treating OCD, ‘Pure O,’ phobias, relationship anxiety, and rumination through exposure therapy and depth work. I also provide tailored therapy for individuals and couples exploring kink, and polyamory/consensual non-monogamy.

My Approach

Collaborative

I prioritize a collaborative approach, working closely with clients to understand their unique experiences and challenges. Together, we develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and values. This partnership fosters a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to actively participate in their own healing journey. By working together, we can achieve meaningful and lasting change.

Evidence-Based

Utilizing evidence-based strategies, I help individuals and couples develop coping tools, reduce anxiety, and strengthen their relationships. These proven techniques ensure that our work together is grounded in the latest psychological research and best practices. By applying methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions, we can address a wide range of issues effectively. My goal is to provide clients with practical skills that lead to lasting positive change and improved overall well-being.

Exploration

My therapeutic approach also includes deep exploration of past and present relationship dynamics, empowering clients to achieve personal growth and relational fulfillment. By examining how early experiences shape current behaviors and emotional patterns, we can gain valuable insights into underlying issues. This self-awareness allows clients to break free from unhelpful cycles and build healthier, more satisfying connections with others. Together, we can foster personal transformation and lasting change through this reflective and insightful work.
